The son of a carpenter, Damien spent many summers on building sites gaining practical experience. As a result, material efficiency and ease of construction are evident in his designs today. He has been involved in the planning and design of numerous municipal, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects. In recent years, he has enjoyed working as part of a team on the new Student Union Building at the University of British Columbia, Surrey Civic Centre, Oakridge Mall Redevelopment, Richmond Centre Redevelopment, Delbrook Community Centre, and Penticton Aquatic Centre Expansion.
Damien graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Engineering. He has practiced structural engineering in Ireland, Australia and Canada. Active within the design and construction community, Damien initiates industry social events, and is an active member of numerous professional organizations.
