Sameer Hasham

Sameer is passionate about building science and is a valued leader within the Vancouver Island building science team. He's known for his calm demeanor, strong work ethic, and as a reliable technical resource. He focuses on understanding his clients' needs while meeting budgets and timelines. This approach has helped him to establish long-term and trusted relationships. Sameer received the Gino Ferri Community Service Award in recognition of his tireless volunteer work to support local, national, and international communities to improve the quality of life. His passion for encouraging those around him to succeed makes him a leader in his profession and his long list of voluntary services.
Sameer specializes in the evaluation and restoration of existing buildings and the design of high-performance building enclosures for new construction. He is motivated to provide solutions that are core to RJC's values – practical, economically viable, and environmentally responsible. Alongside his passion for building science, Sameer leads the Vancouver Island Glazing and Façade team, specializing in secondary structural design of glass and cladding systems.
He received his Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of British Columbia, majoring in Civil Engineering. He is a Certified Passive House Designer and a member of the British Columbia Building Envelope Council (BCBEC). He also helps to advance RJC's best practices nationally for building science.
