With over thirty years of varied experience as a civil engineer, principal engineer, and engineering manager, Ted is Vice President Ted of RJC’s US engineering design services.
Ted’s background in quality assurance and management gives him a strong understanding and appreciation for client needs. For over 25 years, he administered the quality assurance program at the Clark County Department of Building in Las Vegas, Nevada, including for high-profile structures constructed on the Las Vegas Strip. In this role, he was involved in approval review and listing of construction inspection agencies, material testing laboratories, special inspectors and fabrication facilities.
For 12 years, he managed design professionals and technical staff responsible for structural and geotechnical plans examination and construction acceptance of superstructure and foundation systems for projects ranging from single-storey residential to commercial structures exceeding 700 feet tall. Ted’s projects include City Center, Downtown Summerlin, Las Vegas Convention Center Expansion, Sands Convention Center, Mandalay Bay Convention Center, T-Mobile Arena, and Monte Carlo Theater.
Ted completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He later completed Load and Resistance Factor Design and Finite Element Analysis at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is a past Committee Member of the International Conference of Building Officials-Evaluation Service (ICC) and a past Member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) and the UL Fire Council.
