As Prime Consultant, RJC Engineers provided building enclosure and energy consulting for two vital renewal projects at the University of the Fraser Valley’s Abbotsford campus.
RJC conducted energy studies on both buildings, with the objective of investigating the energy performance of the existing buildings, and identification of system modifications and synergies to reduce overall building consumption while also improving occupant comfort.Several Energy Conservation Measures were incorporated in the building renewal design to provide savings in energy consumption and Greenhouse Gas emissions.
“Whole Building Airtightness Testing” was conducted at Building D prior to the start of the project, to set the baseline for comparison with the completed rehabilitation.
